Canisius High School TV Studio 1980s
Canisius High School in 1984 offered a Fine Arts course
that was comprised of Music, Art, and Media. Some of the
Media students had "caught the bug" and were interested
in creating a music video for an up & coming rock band
called The Moment. I was their Media instructor.

Permission was given for the production to shoot at the Erie
County Fair in August of 1984. Although the production was a small one (four crew members, four performers), it attracted a great deal of attention as the Fair was in full swing. A crowd gathered, autographs were sought after, eventually we had to have Fair security create a perimeter
so we could shoot scenes including the band lip-syncing to a playback of their song "She's My Girl."

In the early 80s, there was a public access television show in Buffalo called "33 West" which featured local pop & rock bands and related events in a weekly half-hour format. Towards the end of the show's run, there was a retrospective episode and the "She's My Girl" video was
named as the Best Locally-Produced Music Video! Not bad for a high school media arts production.
