As a typical 50s/60s kid, I was fascinated by horror & science-fiction films, and as I was always dabbling in art projects, I made my own customized versions of model kits available at the time.
Eventually I connected with Mr. Forrest J. Ackerman, the "Godfather" of horror/sci-fi history and the editor of the premier fan magazine Famous Monsters of Filmland. He was very gracious and put a short article (above) in his magazine about me. What a great guy!
Speaking of true gentlemen and nice people, Vincent Price was definitely one of the best. I met Mr. Price on the set of a Syracuse morning tv show and he was gracious and genuinely interested in talking to young people (I was 19).
He thanked me profusely for asking an on-air question about what it was like working with Cecil B. DeMille on the film "The Ten Commandments" instead of the usual questions about his horror movie career. Mr. Price had made many classic films that were not horror related, but his late-in-life persona as a villain was already in place.

Return envelope with my photos and a copy of the article. (P.S. - both addresses are defunct)
